Immediate relief program to Sindhupalchowk
The massive landslide erupted from a fragile landmass—weakened by the 2015 earthquake and its powerful aftershocks—above Ghumthang village and swept away Bhirkharka, Nagpuje and Dandagaun settlements at around 3:30 am. The landslide swept away 22 houses and emptied in the Bhotekoshi river some three kilometres below. The area had been witnessing incessant rainfall since Saturday evening.
#White_Phase team is taking the initiative to support the bereaved families with urgent reliefs and financial support for house construction.
Immediate relief program to sankhuwasabha
A massive landslide in Makalu Rural Municipality, Sankhuwasabha, has partially dammed the Arun river, leaving downstream settlements in Shadananda Municipality, Arun, Pauwadung and Hatuwagadhi rural municipalities of Bhojpur and Pakhribas, Sahidbhumi and Sagurigadhi rural municipalities including our mission fields at higher risk of flooding.
The landslide that occurred at Oyang on Sunday morning swept away seven houses while another 20 house and several animal sheds are at high risk. This will completely eradicate the fields which are the source of income to many underprivileged villagers.
#White_Phase team from Province 1 is taking the initiative to build 11 shelters if not, urgent food reliefs for the bereaved families.
